With summer around the corner we thought we’d share a delicious coffee smoothie recipe using some of our fair trade coffee beans. Any of our fair trade coffees can be used, but we’ll focus on the Colombian Fair Trade Organic here. Enjoy all the nourishing benefits of coffee and cocoa – anti-oxidants, skin-enrichment and stimulating caffeine – in a refreshing summer drink:
- 1 Cup (250 mL) brewed Fair Trade Organic coffee, cooled
- 1 Banana, frozen
- 1 Cup (250 mL) low-fat, regular yogurt
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 Handful Strawberries (or Blueberries)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and serve. Add some water to blender if a thinner consistency is desired.
