Despite an expired patent on their k-cups (and a slew of new competitors), Green Mountain’s earnings are expected to be up this year. With 3rd quarter revenue estimated at $0.77/share, earnings are up from $0.52/share last year. Total revenue for the year is marked at $4.35 Billion, with $981.9 Million coming from this quarter.
While growth has been strong over the past 2 years, many were expecting a decline. Analysts are seeing the company as a buy however, when comparing it with their competitors and their earnings. Their new lines with renewed patents could play an integral role in maintaining the profitability of the company.
